Salary: GBP40k–50k basic DOE + GBP7k–10k OTE + Pension + Company Car + Phone/Laptop + 22 days holiday

Lots of UK investment from European companyThe Role: The role of Business Development Manager will see you partnering with a vast array of OEM clients across the North of the UK and Ireland to deliver bespoke PCB solutions to their designs. You will be selling to Design Engineers, Procurement Teams, and working alongside international manufacturing partners to provide the best PCB solutions within any product which needs one. This is a project led role and therefore requires a lot of organisation, project management skills, and relationship attributes to be successful.

The Business Development Manager role is new business focused and around 70% of your time will be cultivating new relationships with clients across the region. You will inherit a strong area which has a circa GBP2m existing client base. The aim of this role is to bring it closer to it's European counterparts which are usually working on regions in excess of GBP7m. This is a complex sell and thus The Business Development Manager is therefore given all the support required from Marketing, Inside Sales, and Engineering Teams to deliver the best solutions in the market to increase market share in the UK.

The Company: Our client is a European leader in the manufacture of electronic components & PCB's used in a wide array of applications. They are going from strength to strength and are looking to grow their technical capability to give their customers a much better experience throughout the design stage of the process. They have recently invested in new premises in Manchester and are heavily investing in personal development for people coming into the business both professionally & technically. The PCB Division is huge in Europe and they have identified the UK as a real growth engine for them, this is the perfect time to join the journey.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

Have an appreciation of selling to OEMs
Understand PCB technology
Have the ability to have commercial & technical discussions
Has the ability to read technical drawings
A real people person who has good communications skills
Comes from a project led sales background
Full & Clean Driving licence
