Senior Financial Controller

An experienced Financial Controller is required for a leading employer in the Scottish Borders. You will have at least 5 years' experience at a similar level and must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and an ability to create financial statements. Excellent organisational and time management skills, as well as an in–depth understanding of cashflow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping is required.

You will have a track–record which shows proven management experience and leadership skills.

This senior role involves a wide variety of duties including annual accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, preparation of budgets and forecasts, development of internal control policies and procedures as well as financial risk management and overseeing the finance team in day to day operations.

You will be responsible for coordinating and directing the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts; timeous production of monthly financial statements; regulatory reporting and support for month–end and year–end processes.

Reporting at Financial Director level, you will comply with all reporting requirements, presenting reports to the Director's team and observing the highest levels of accuracy as well as working to strict deadlines.
