Commercial Finance Manager
Client: National Residential Developer
Role: Commercial Finance Manager
Location: Bristol, South West with a mix of office and home working
Reporting to: Finance Director
Commercial Finance Manager – What will I be responsible for?
* Support the Finance Director in ensuring that the Finance team is fully resourced and well–directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities, and are provided with full support in achieving these, in terms of communication, training and development, and the organisation of the department's workload.
* Working closely with commercial teams to ensure they are working within the guidelines set out within the Group policies and procedures including managing and controlling the budget and valuations by always updating the estimated final costs and having the ability to show absolute cost and value reconciliation.
* Ensure smooth transition and rollout of future sites on COINs valuation system. Ensure accuracy of information flow across departments and systems.
* Play a key role in surveying/ valuation meetings and provide appropriate level of challenge.
* Work closely with the land and commercial teams ensuring viabilities are kept up to date, with realistic cost and revenue assumptions.
* Assist with the production of the Site Start budget, liaising with all Departments to ensure document is completed on time to allow the construction to commence, and Sales to start marketing, and to ensure compliance with Group Policies and Procedures.
* Assist in the preparation of Land Acquisition packs for presentation to Divisional Board and onward presentation to Group.
* Working with the existing Finance Manager and Finance Director to ensure accurate and robust monthly forecasting and preparation of the Divisional three/ five–year business plan in line with Regional/ Group requirements.
* Assist as required with financial management and reporting.
* Support payment and payroll processing to ensure an accurate and timely service, using the Group systems.
* Identify and ensure the resolution of issues that have significant impact on the Division.
* Ensure Division systems reflect latest information (such as completions forecast reflects latest build programme/ sales status).
* Assist with appropriate reporting to the MD and Divisional Board in line with the standard format and schedule including assisting with the preparation of the Finance Board reports and with Divisional presentations.
* Complete ad hoc divisional, regional and out of departments projects as necessary.
* Ensure adherence with the Group Financial Policies and Procedures Manual and promote and act in accordance with Group values, systems, policies and procedures.
