Who we are looking for
We are hiring a Chief Financial Officer for Ambition Institute. We are looking for an experienced and engaging senior leader to join our Executive Committee, and to help us develop our financial strategy.
Ambition institute helps teachers and leaders serving children from disadvantaged backgrounds to keep getting better. We provide high quality, evidence–driven professional development across the profession: from new teachers through to multi–academy Trust CEOs.
We receive funding from the Department for Education, earn income from selling our programmes, and attract corporate and philanthropic sponsorship. In common with many other charities, we are developing a balanced funding model that allows us to be sustainable and to grow in the future. We need to make sure that we are using every penny to best effect, to help us deliver our overall mission.
The CFO will play a pivotal role in setting us up for continued success. As we grow in scale and reach, we need a financial strategy and financial management that allows us to continue delivering excellent support to teachers and school leaders, but crucially also enables us to invest in new opportunities that help us meet our charitable objectives
The CFO will report to the CEO and be part of the Executive Committee. There is potential for the role to grow in the future, depending on the successful candidate's skills and interests, and the needs of the organisation.
The role could be based in any of our three offices (London, Manchester or Birmingham), but travel to other locations will be required.
