If you're an ambitious Chartered Accountant, seeking your first number one financial role, and you enjoy working with high calibre colleagues in professional services, then this job for a Financial Controller based near Heathrow might be the next challenge for you.

You would need to commit to 2–3 days a week, or alternate weeks in the offices near Heathrow, so your commute could be regular flights from Newcastle or Durham Tees Valley to Heathrow.

Here, you'll be part of a prestigious group with complementary yet distinctly different divisions. That means the firm occupies a rare position; offering their clients harmonious advice across their business has helped them develop an enviable domestic and international client base. For you, that means an exciting role with multiple stakeholders and financial responsibility for four main entities.

Reporting to the COO, you'll manage a team of 5 staff and will be responsible for helping drive improvements, monitoring productivity, and delivering organisational change.

While overseeing financial reporting, controlling working capital, and managing annual budgeting with Partners, you'll also work alongside department heads to enhance operational and financial performance.

You'll thrive in this role if you're able to identify areas for improvement and are capable of leading transformation. To do both successfully, you'll need strong interpersonal skills and a positive approach.

To apply, you'll need to be a qualified Chartered Accountant, preferably an ACA who trained with a leading accounting or professional services firm, and you're likely to be seeking your first move out of the profession.

In return, you'll enjoy the responsibility and respect of performing the number one finance role in a leading institution. Along with a generous basic salary package, you'll receive an excellent benefits package, including an agile working policy that will allow you to work from home for 2–3 days each week.
