Position: Business Development Manager – South England
Location: Field Based. The ideal candidate will be based in the Luton or surrounding area, responsible for customers from Reading in the east to Ipswich in the West and as far north as Milton Keynes in the North.
Job Type: Full time, 39.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Salary: GBP25,000 to GBP30,000 plus Bonus

Purpose of Role:
As a Business Development Manager with Tchibo Coffee International, you will be joining a fantastic team across the UK and Ireland, selling the Tchibo brand to new and existing National and Independent customers within your geographical area. You'll have a portfolio of accounts to keep warm and promote organic growth, whilst developing and executing a targeted action plan for new business acquisition in line with team and company targets.
Key activities:
New business acquisition to exceed New & Repeat target
Achieve year–on–year profit growth within geographical base
Organic development of all accounts
To plan dedicated diary activity into each customer base
Increase product penetration through targeted range extension
Accurate account planning and objective setting
Accurate completion of contract paperwork in compliance with Company standards
Deliver on–site coffee excellence training sessions and visiting all sites as per contractual commitments
Refer to provided Matrix for defined National pricing for any discounts on independent accounts
Internal reporting and communication to the Company
Network with agreed buyers, Area managers and Key Decision makers at Regional level
Maintain sales pipeline and acquisition of new businessExperience
To be considered for this opportunity it is essential that you have previous experience in maintaining and developing customer accounts, with a focus on new business acquisition and organic account growth. You must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence.
Essential Skills / Knowledge
Coffee equipment knowledge, barista skills
Able to train customers on product & equipment in the areas of daily use, beverage production and cleaning and maintenance
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, that focuses on the needs of the prospect customer
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build, maintain and develop effective working relationships with colleagues and customers
Effective communicator at all levels
Ability to motivate, focus and interact with other team members in a professional and structured manner
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, that focuses on the needs of the prospect customer
High standards of administration, time management and personal presentationPersonal Attributes
Is able to build personal relationships via customer and prospect networks
Adopts and maintains a first–class business commitment to the role
Is flexible especially as far as working days and hours are concerned, in order to deliver on business commitment
High level of self–discipline and motivation
Must possess a full clean UK driving licence
High level of business acumen
Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint Application
