Head of School – Engineering Science and Technology (Higher Education) up to GBP45,188 ( dependant on candidate )

The Head of School will provide inspirational and effective leadership of academic staff in the School (across both UCNL and UCD campuses) and lead on curricular and business development initiatives within the School that are responsive to local social and economic priorities. Reporting to the Director of Higher Education – Learning Teaching and Student Experience, the Head of School will play a key role in the strategic development of the College's Higher Education provision.

We would be interested in speaking with people from an engineering background.

The 4 Heads of School will be members of the Higher Education Leadership Team, led by the Vice Principal for Higher Education, to ensure that strategic priorities for Higher Education are regularly reviewed, communicated and implemented, and that long–term growth objectives and annual operating targets are planned effectively and achieved. The role requires an ability to respond and adapt to a rapidly changing Higher Education landscape, an understanding of the nature and significance of College–Based Higher Education and ability to embrace the challenges presenting through an exceptional work–ethic.

The post holder should be able to motivate and inspire staff to assume delegated responsibilities, ensuring a culture of high standards and aspirations which is underpinned by challenging targets, innovation, responsiveness and continuous improvement.
