Head of Inventory

This is an opportunity for an experienced Head of Inventory to join a global distribution business in a role in which your expertise and leadership will ensure that integrity and accuracy are maintained to the highest levels and continuous improvement led projects are embraced.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving best–in–class Inventory accuracy and space utilisation, utilising metrics to monitor results and report these to the business
Developing robust processes to mitigate the risk of inventory discrepancies using root cause analysis
Build intelligent count routines targeting products, locations and processes most at risk and deliver controlled processes and administration to ensure virtual stock records are accurate
Working to deliver exceptional performance across key metrics and KPI measures in line with functional and organisational goals and objectives
Reviewing Inventory and Control Room processes for enhancing effectiveness and benchmark against industry best practice Qualifications:

5 years+ experience in inventory / WMS management in a large Retail Network or Distribution based environment is essential
Proven ability to show improvement in a continually developing environment
Highly tuned approach to inventory integrity within a highly automated, high complexity retail / .com business
Experience in the analysis of defect data and defect reduction planning
Strong analytical, mathematical and data analysis capability
Basic working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques
Advanced Excel skills required
Stakeholder management experience
Project management experience
Team leadership and development experience
