Technical Service Director – Greater London
To lead the technical services dept, aligned to the resort's strategic direction and participate as a member of the resort's senior leadership team. To drive outstanding dept performance, support EBITDA growth and drive health and safety across the department
Key Objectives:
* Deliver engineering & maintenance of circa 30 rides and attractions to deliver outstanding performance and availability.
* Support the delivery of the strategic health & safety plan at CWOA.
* Ensure robust health and safety throughout the technical services dept.
* Deliver full performance management of 3 direct report and circa 110 employees
* Manage operating budgets of circa GBP5.9m p.a.
* As a member of the SLT, participate in Park Management rota and other resort leadership functions as required, underpinned by strong working relations with SLT colleagues.
* Full life cycle asset management of circa 5000 non–ride assets across the resort. Statutory and non–statutory.
* Deliver a robust landscaping plan that manages related risks, delivers exceptional gardens and land across the resort.
* Deliver a full waste and recycling model for the resort.
Capex delivery
To act as technical advisor to all project champions to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
To deliver certain projects, as project champion, on time and within budget.
Ensure that the work of the department is, where appropriate in harmony with other CWoA functions through regular consultation with SLT colleagues.
Operate and promote the company values and the CWOA brand values at all material times
Main Responsibilities:
Operational: During the winter season the role will have responsibility for delivery of the winter strip plan and the statutory Annual Inspection of all rides and attractions within the jurisdiction of the engineering department, ensuring that all rides are compliant with the Amusement Device Inspection Procedure Scheme (ADIPS) and are handed back over to the operation to agreed dates.
Support H & S manager in delivering the resort's strategic plan to ensure the resort operates to an effective safety management system integrated into all working practices across the organization & is compliant with all H & S related legislation.
Ensure departmental H&S plans exist and regular audits are conducted of all team members to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, ensuring continued compliance with H & S regulations
Ensure the proactive training and development of team members to recognized agreed standards in order to maintain all areas within their remit safely and efficiently
Oversees the Engineering Apprenticeship scheme ensuring standards are met or exceeded and ensures a proactive approach to future recruitment needs.
Assume park leadership duties as necessary ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Park and ensuring a Magical Experience for our Guests
