Head of Sports and Leisure Facilities

SOMERDALE PAVILION IS A SPORTS, HEALTH AND LEISURE CENTRE IN KEYNSHAM, NEAR BRISTOL AND BATH.

Our story begins with the Fry family. When the famous chocolate producers began moving their operations to Keynsham in the 1920's they created a true social hub around their Somerdale factory, complete with extensive sports grounds and social facilities. Nearly 100 years later we're proud continue in that heritage, welcoming hundreds of local people into the Pavilion each and every week.

In 2019 the Somerdale Pavilion Trust, created by Bristol–based charity the St Monica Trust, took over the operation of the Somerdale Pavilion from the previous lease–holder Aquaterra, with the specific objective of running and maintaining the facility for the people of Keynsham.

As the Head of Sports & Leisure Facilities, you will have responsibility for the financial and operational performance of the facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that excellent customer service is always delivered, that the facilities are financially successful and that the facilities meet all health, safety, and industry standards.

You will oversee the whole operation including:

Somerdale Pavilion

TCQ Gym & Spa

Outdoor Sport Facilities

Memberships

Bar, Catering and Events

Car Parking Facilities

Services for St Monica Trust's Training Academy

Health Safety and Fire compliance

37.5 hours per week, however the hours will be determined by the needs of the business. There will be a requirement to work some weekends and you will need to be flexible. You will be entitled to a 30–minute unpaid break each shift.
