Overview of job

This role is all about growing our business by delivering growth to our clients over the short, medium and long term.

It's about becoming the most trusted business partner to some of the biggest, best, most progressive or most ambitious advertisers out there.

It's about collaborating with most of the departments across Global – Sales, Strategy, Insight, Creative, Data, Digital, Programming, Talent, Finance – and work with some of the most passionate and talented people in our industry. All with the explicit aim of delivering growth for Global by delivering growth to our clients.

It's about identifying opportunities and threats across the industry and on a category by category basis. Then co–creating solutions that optimise returns to advertisers by using the Global portfolio.

As you could imagine, this role requires collaboration and leadership skills, multiple advertiser category experience, strong business acumen and the ability to influence at a senior client level.

Key responsibilities of the job

  • Be able to understand and influence marketing/advertising/media decision making to drive Global forward in terms of reputation, overall strategic relevance and ultimately increase our share of all media investment
  • This role is about becoming a trusted business partner to key advertisers. So you'll certainly need a strong grasp of:
    • World class account management and strong multi–media knowledge
    • The importance and role creative plays in comms effectiveness
    • Measurement techniques and metrics that drive success – from performance to brand launch to growing eSOV.
  • Lead and manage a team of experienced Category and Client focused specialists to drive Global's reputation and revenue across the entire product portfolio by encouraging adoption of a platform agnostic, objective led and consultative approach to help solve clients' business challenges.
  • Pro–active leadership that encourages your team to perform to the best of their ability, understand business opportunities and challenges and execute a well considered plan in collaboration with Agency and teams as appropriate.
  • The organisation, curation and distribution of key client feedback to relevant stakeholders.
  • Be able to bring the best of Global to the table when appropriate – our people and our portfolio. Be able to clearly and persuasively articulate the unique value, distinguishing qualities and benefits of our portfolio and capabilities to advertisers – both in meetings and more formal presentations.
  • Ability to collaborate with the rest of the Global business to ensure strong and aligned communication with key partners. This is particularly vital with the Strategy, Insight and Agency Teams
  • To be a visible and impactful presence in market
  • To drive real revenue growth and ensure Global beats the market

  • Senior level Client, Media or Creative Agency experience
  • A detailed understanding of all media channels and the role they play in the marketing mix; a good understanding of SEO and performance marketing channels
  • A solid understanding of how Media and Creative agencies operate and the client / agency dynamic
  • Strong, dynamic and effective leadership skills
  • Deliver the highest level of service to clients
