Electrical Project Manager Required – Long–Term Interim Role – NHS – Flexible Working – 12 Months +
Your new company
You will join a long standing NHS Trust based in Torbay who have recently gained approval to deliver a range of critical infrastructure and capital projects with values up to GBP200m. These projects include relocation of a Urology Service, relocation of a histopathology service, a new build education centre and multiple ward refurbishments.
Your new role
You will be involved in delivering various construction projects and site infrastructure projects including lifts, generators, fire alarm systems, lighting upgrades and input into electrical elements / instillation and design of new builds. You will lead on day to day input and delivery of design & build contracts, take ownership of the full project life–cycle from inception to completion, help to manage design teams and find design solutions, and develop project documentation, programmes, budgets etc.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position you will need to have significant project management experience, in particular delivery of high value and complex projects. Knowledge of public sector procurement thresholds would be advantageous, although not essential. You'll also need an excellent technical electrical engineering background, alongside an HNC or equivalent qualification.
What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a contract with initial duration until the end of March 2022, however this is highly likely to extend for a further year beyond this point. You'll receive a daily rate of pay (available either direct PAYE or via an Umbrella), and will be able to split your time between the site in Torbay, and home. Part time options also considered.
