Head of Quality / Permanent / Manufacturing / West Yorkshire
We are currently looking for a driven Quality Director for a Manufacturer employing an Automotive outlook – the business is based in West Yorkshire, paying between GBP75,000 and GBP80,000 dependant on experience.
The Role
Reporting to the President you will have full autonomy for the management and leadership of a team of around of Quality Engineers. The responsibility covers everything from; achieving productivity targets, quality levels, ensuring exemplary health and safety of your team and delivering all this at the minimum costs. The main focus for this role is to be responsible for driving Lean and Continuous Improvement activity across the business. To do this you will need to train, coach and engage employees in lean thinking and methodologies, in order to deliver business improvements and ensure key deliverables are met and exceeded wherever possible.
The Person
It is essential that candidates have:
Experienced in working in a JIT supply environment and used to dealing with demanding customers
Experience of working in an automotive supply or fast paced manufacturing environment
At least 5 years of managing Quality teams.
A driven, can do and motivational attitude to work
An understanding of basic improvement techniques
Experience of using LEAN tools
The ability to prioritise workloads and volumes
ISO9001 / IATF16949 Experience
Must be expereinced in core Quality tools APQP / PPAP
