THE ROLE: As Head of Engineering for this site, you will lead a team of 12 mechanical and electrical engineers responsible for the manufacture and production of horticultural media. This is a brand new role for an established business with huge career opportunity ahead. This exciting position will require someone with time served mechanical or electrical engineering who has worked their way through a similar sized business into a head of engineering or senior leadership role. It is a demanding and fast paced role. A practical working knowledge of T2 machines, or automation equipment such as screeners, bagging equipment, palletisers and conveyors is highly desirable. Hands on maintenance, fault–finding and technical installation of these machines would be of real benefit, as this plant is looking to grow and install further lines later this year. There is a high expectation on quality, efficiency, volume and capacity as they meet the needs of increased supplier demands. The site is around 100 acres and is planning to double production lines by the end of this year.

They have invested heavily in this particular site to make it a premier centre and flagship operation. This company has been unaffected by Covid19, they have had record months over the last quarter.
For the role as Head of Engineering, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
Rounded, time served engineer with exposure to mechanical and electrical positions ideally.
Capable leader who can drive a team and deal with a fast paced, changing process.
Previous experience working with T2 machines or associated automation cap ex is preferred.
Candidate Location: Merseyside or Cheshire
Salary: GBP60–70,000 +car allowance
