We are currently looking to recruit a Data & Business Analyst to establish the ongoing reporting requirements and help plan projects for the UK MI team, which encompasses a full reporting suite, including Power BI, automated and finance related reports, this is achieved by liaising with different areas of the business, in order to gather business requirements and data definitions.

What does the role involve?
As a Data & Business Analyst, you will translate business needs into technical specifications, liaising with other members of the business for reporting requirements, which can then be passed on to the other members of the team to be actioned. You will have involvement in project planning for the team through adding new work and priorities to the Jira backlog and to be involved in sprint planning, and documentation of existing reporting and looking to consolidate existing reports.
You will define calculations and fields used within the business to add to a Data Dictionary and produce an onboarding and release framework for the MIS team to work to.
In this role, you should have a proven background and experience in working the field, whilst using Agile working principles. The role needs demonstration of good oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and consultative skills, analytical thinking, and problem solving and being detail–oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy. A working knowledge of SQL scripts and Power BI would be useful.
The successful candidate will require:
• Proven experience as a Data & Business Analyst
• Industry experience is required
• Knowledge of Power BI, TSQL queries and SQL Management Studio preferred
• Experience of working in an Agile environment
• Ability to project plan for the team and help deliver to help deliver to deadlines
• Analytical mind with a problem–solving aptitude
