The role
Vision for Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist Vocational Centre (Construction) in the South Tyneside area to recruit a Head of Vocational Centre (Construction) to manage the day to day running of the centre, as well as taking responsibility for the experience of all learners enrolled. The young people who access this provision are extremely disengaged with education, so a resilient personality along with an adaptable and calm approach is required.
Requirements
An ideal candidate will have:
Experience of working with young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties.
Experience of management of a facility or a department in a larger facility.
Experience of dealing with companies within the manufacturing sector.
Evidence of implementing effective and appropriate strategies for maintaining good classroom management and learner behaviour.
Experience of line management of staff ideally within the teaching and learning environment.
