Job Title: Head of Corporate Foundation

Salary: £70–75K based on experience + Bonus + Benefits

Hours: Permanent, full–time / flexibility

Location: London, with agile working and some travel expected

We are working in partnership with First Sentier Investors (FSI), a global investment management firm which stewards Assets Under Management of over AU$236.8 billion on behalf of institutional investors, pension funds, wholesale distributors and platforms, financial advisers and their clients worldwide. FSI are seeking a Head of Corporate Foundation, who will lead and manage the charitable donation arm of the organisation.  The Foundation currently exists to make a difference to the local societies in which their staff live and work, through promoting char​​itable time and giving across various areas.  The current focus for the Foundation is Education, Environment and Social Welfare.  Since its inception in 2012, the Foundation have donated to a wide range of charitable causes across the world, and have supported a wide spectrum of volunteering initiatives and community programmes.

The Head of Corporate Foundation will be responsible for the development of the Foundation’s strategy, implementation of the strategy and the ongoing management of the Foundation’s activities, in line with broader Corporate Sustainability and Responsible Investment objectives. The is a new role, and the postholder will have the freedom to refresh the ‘purpose’ of the Foundation through engagement with employees, Trustees, senior leadership, Boards and FSI’s parent company.  Although based in the UK, the postholder will be responsible for leading the network of global Foundation Trustees, based in Australia, Asia, UK and Europe and America.

The successful individual will demonstrate the following:

Extensive experience within a Corporate Foundation and/or charity sector
Experience in developing a philanthropic strategy and the ability to measure, track and report progress in a range of internal and external settings, including at Board level
Experience and capability in developing effective partnerships with charities globally / across multiple regions
Experience in the strategic deployment of charitable funding in line with a corporate strategy for the benefit of society
Have a broad understanding of different Foundation structures
Strong project management skills

We are seeking an individual with entrepreneurial spirit and commercial acumen, who is a strategic, creative, and lateral thinker, with strong communication skills that can engage a wide range of internal and external audiences, facilitate the attraction and retention of staff engagement, and influence senior leaders within a global business to secure buy–in.  The postholder will be an ambassador for the Foundation, able to work relatively autonomously whilst also collaborating globally with a wide range of stakeholders with competing priorities.
