My client is a legal startup looking to hire a Technical Lead. They have built a platform that provides free legal advice and can then put individuals in touch with professionals who may need to take that advice one step further. They are on a mission to build the next UK unicorn whilst doing some good for society. The team currently consists of 6 full time employees with a number of legal advisors on hand.

The individual will shape the future and lead the tech. We are looking for an entreprenurial Tech Lead to join as the first internal tech hire. Someone who is willing to get their hands dirty building features but also the desire to think more long term about growing the product, business and team.

Tech stack:

* Python (flask) backend on Google App Engine (serverless)

* PostgreSQL

* React on the frontend on EC2

* Other misc aspects in Vanilla JS, Webflow (no code)

Responsibilities:

* Building the software

* Taking charge of platform development and making key decisions on technical architecture

* An oversight of all aspects of engineering including technical strategy, best practice implementation and tech stacks

* Define technical support processes and ensure customer support for technical issues

* Deliver MVP, enabling test, iterate and to serve early customers

* Ensure the systems architecture and infrastructure is scaleable

We are looking for someone ideally with:

* Early stage tech startup experience

* Leadership skills

* Proven track record of taking ideas and bringing them to life

* An interest in the intersection of law and technology and the impact on society

* A willingness to work in a fast paced startup in it's early stage

* Working in a lean and agile way

* Ideally experience of market places or community building

* Comfortable delivering product features from start to finish with the full tack

* A good eye for design and focused on UX
