My client is looking for a talented, passionate, and experienced nurse leader who can demonstrate strong clinical and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across multi–professional boundaries as well as create an enviable culture of caring and compassion.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide strong leadership across the Quality and Patient Safety, Safeguarding, Operations and IPC, reporting to the Director of Nursing;
  • Deliver continued support and operational management to the Health and Safety Lead and the Clinical Audit and Effectiveness Lead;
  • Effectively direct the team in the areas of leadership, overview, and scrutiny on Serious Incident reviews;
  • Provide assurance on all matters related to clinical governance, including safe recruitment of nursing staff, assured of competencies, supervision revalidation;
  • Provide support to managers in the appraisal and supervision of the nursing team;
  • Responsible for ensuring revalidation of nurses, and supporting the interim Director of Nursing with Duty of Candour requirements;
  • Support the service managers in the development of the service performance reports to ensure that risk are identified and managed;
  • Undertake safeguarding audits for all safeguarding related activity;
  • Deputise for the Director of Nursing when required;
  • Undertake analysis of complex information (qualitative and quantitative) to inform and measure the effectiveness of projects and work streams;
  • Undertake preparation of monthly reports for the Organisation's Integrated Performance Report (IPR);
  • Research, write and present reports for based on complex real–time patient feedback.

A successful candidate will have:
  • Current NMC registration as an RGN;
  • Proven leadership ability across operational nursing ,clinical governance and non–clinical workforce;
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multi–professional boundaries, whilst fostering a compassionate and caring culture;
  • Demonstrable experience in senior nursing management across NHS/healthcare sector;
