Head of Data - Azure/ETL/Spark

Head of Data - Azure/ETL/Spark is required for an international investment manager. They invest in a range of industries and market such as real estate and specialist equity markets.

You will be responsible for developing data products and people. with your experience as a leader using modern data architecture and engineering practices and tools to process, store, and expose datasets and build robust Back End services.

A suitable candidate for this position will be an experienced manager with a strong record of attracting and growing great engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and hands-on career development.

The successful Head of Data will have the following essential skills:
* 3+ years management experience
* 5+ years' experience in a data engineering role
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or other technical science, math fields, or equivalent work experience
* Prefer experience working with data science and AI/ML teams, with understanding of these workflows
* Solid understanding and experience building microservices and RESTful APIs
* Experience with Spark, Azure Technologies a plus
* Advanced Database design (NoSQL and/or SQL)
* Advanced in Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL/ELT)

Again, a basic salary of GBP90,000 - GBP110,000 plus bonus and benefits is on offer depending on your experience in leading and growing a team.
