JOB TITLE: Head of Cloud Services

REPORTS TO: Director of Technology Services - Infrastructure and Operations

JOB LOCATION: Fully remote (Or you can work out of any of their many UK offices, Bristol/London/Manchester etc.)

JOB PURPOSE: The Head of Cloud Services is accountable for ensuring all public cloud services are maintained, managed, documented and fit for purpose.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ownership of all operational public cloud (services covering Iaas, PaaS) supporting the UK and European businesses, ensuring all systems are fit for purpose, maintained, and compliant with internal and external obligations and fit for purpose
• Accountable for a team of Cloud engineers ensuring the delivery of service to agreed SLA's ensuring any escalated issues are resolved and documented
• Ownership of M365 tenants and all of the component parts contained within the M365 suite of tools
• Responsible for leading the cloud adoption/migration of existing on premise solutions
• Partnering with the DevOps Manager to develop automation tools across Public and Private cloud solutions
• Ownership and delivery of the technology roadmap for the adoption of cloud technologies
• An escalation point for all cloud systems
• Maintain MI reporting in a timely manner and ensure all actions are concluded on time
• Ensure Cloud systems maintain compliance with internal, external and client accreditation obligations
• Deliver positive leadership, mentoring and development of all team members
• Ownership of all process documentation across the multi-disciplines of the team
• Responsible for ensuring the configuration, release and performance management of all cloud systems maintaining the CMDB, KEDB and Service Management toolsets at all times
• Ownership of cloud based cost Management, system sizing and ongoing performance reviews

COMPETENCIES

SKILLS

• Experienced in building a Cloud team in an enterprise organisation
• Strong, hands on knowledge of Azure and OCI IaaS and PaaS services
• Thorough M365 knowledge, experienced in adopting and deploying the features available
• Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
