My client is a market leading, global Managed Service Provider with a broad portfolio suite including Unified Communications, Content Delivery and Infrastructure IT Services. With prestigious partnerships with the likes of Gamma, HPE, Microsoft and O2, they are able to offer their customers a fully unique and flexible offering the meets todays market challenges.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of managing sales teams within a IT/Service Management environment and will suit a dynamic, driven and inspirational leader.

The Role

The Head of Sales will be responsible for growing and driving the sales across Unified Communications, Mobility and Cloud Services and will manage four teams working across a broad product offering as well as an additional Channel Manager to drive growth with exciting partners. The team will be responsible for growing existing accounts, improving cross selling capabilities across the portfolio and driving net new logos.

Reporting directly to the UK CEO the role provides the leadership to meet and exceed the performance and strategic objectives of the business unit and wider group.

Duties will include:

  • Shaping, empowering and inspiring the sales team to create a best-in-class sales organisation
  • Work with wider sales and marketing teams in the group to encourage cross selling opportunities and external messaging
  • Work with the product and technical business units you will ensure solutions and services are fit for purpose, whilst future proofing your offering to maintain competitive
  • Act as an Executive Sponsor/Senior Lead for high profile sales - this will involve attending occasional client meetings when required
  • Grow the average deal size, targeting companies with 500 - 1,000 seats (or more)
  • Improve collaboration across different functions within the business
  • Manage sales forecasting and pipeline
  • Drive accountability across the teams and ensure performance against budgets
  • Take a strategic overview and standpoint on the department and implement improvements to sales processes and cycles
  • Conduct regular review meetings with sales managers to measure performance, planned activities etc.

Key Experience/Skills required

  • Proven experience in a Head of Sales role managing high performing sales teams
  • A strong understanding of Unified Communications and IT Infrastructure of Services
  • Excellent presentation skills - confident presenting to C-suite stakeholders
  • Proven experience of driving sales performances
  • Inspirational, motivated and dynamic with an ability to lead teams from the front
