About the Role
We are looking for a natural sales person who automatically gets the very best out of people – clients and colleagues alike – to lead the expansion of our sales activity.
Core Responsibilities
• Develop, implement and deliver an effective, innovative sales and marketing strategy in line with business objectives with a special emphasis on quality, profitable new business.
• Look to grow and add value to existing relationships with clients.
• Take responsibility for setting the development agenda.
• Understand the market through research and analysis and define a strategy to maximise our market share.
• Accurately forecasting future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace.
• Secure our leadership position with clients, partners, investors and employees through innovation and execution.
• Provide clear instruction to legal and business affairs, finance and other stakeholders.
• Manage and develop our social media presence.
• Optimise lead generation through all channels including our website.
• Refine our ways of working to bring a more focused and structured approach to business development through ownership of the end to end business development process.
• Training and developing account managers to enable them to maximise opportunities within each account.
• Deliver effective operational reporting for all stakeholders.
About You
Essential Requirements
• Experience of working in a senior sales role in the Events Management sector (not venues).
• Commercial awareness including budget management and margin protection.
• Highly skilled in financial reporting and sales forecasting.
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
• A track record of nurturing client relationships to increase revenue opportunities.
• Exceptional market knowledge.
• Effective communication skills.
• The ability to demonstrate genuine leaderships skills and the ability to motivate creative teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with differing priorities.
• Proven track record of accomplishment in managing a large and complex portfolio at senior level and driving business development initiatives.
• History of delivering against challenging deadlines.
• An enthusiastic and opportunistic outlook but not pushy.
Preferred
• Understanding of video conferencing/live streaming and other platform technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration or Marketing
• High growth orientation and achievement of stretch sales targets.
• Ability to develop, enthuse and engage clients with creative concepts on how their event can stand out and then work with the team to make this a reality.
