Finance Director (German speaking)

Our client, a respected Financial Services Group is seeking to appoint an Interim Finance Director.Initially home based, the role could be based anywhere in the UK, with some travel to London and Germany. We are interested in attracting applications from candidates who are interested in the role on a fixed term or interim basis.

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the role will be responsible for leading the financial analysis and balance sheet reconciliation for a portfolio of loans based in the UK and Germany. The role will be responsible for ensuring the business meets international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and German GAAP. The role will also be responsible for financial controls and reporting, producing the management accounts under IFRS as well as identifying opportunities for process enhancement and improvement.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong experience in reporting (including IFRS and German GAAP), financial planning and analysis, financial performance, balance sheet reconciliation and financial controls. You must have financial services experience, be fluent in English and German language, bring commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills as well as leadership experience.
