Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a large Healthcare organisation for a Head of Quality Assurance & Compliance.

The post will be working in London on an interim basis for 3+ months, within band 8b.

Develop, implement, and embed a system to determine compliance across the organisation.

Main Responsibilities:

The post holder will oversee compliance, preparing local areas and the wider organisation to achieve the highest possible external inspection / review outcome;
Responsible for supporting the organisation to achieve and maintain an overall provider level good rating from the Care Quality Commission;
Manage relationships with the Care Quality Commission;
Lead, organise and carry out in–house inspections and spot checks of all elements of the CQC inspection framework which impact most significantly on quality, safety, and patient experience;
Contribute to the delivery of the trust's objectives on quality, safety and governance and ensure delivery of the trust's strategy;
Ensure the delivery of national standards and external requirements for all aspects of compliance and quality assurance;
Work with the Directors of the organisation to ensure a climate of continuous improvement and learning is engendered;
Gather data to support Executive and Group Directors, General and Clinical Managers to improve and learn lessons from previous inspections/reviews in preparation for future visits;
Create frameworks for analysing current performance against key drivers and providing advice, support, and guidance on identifying robust systems for evidencing and reporting compliance and which identifies mechanisms for continuous improvement;
Prepare reports to a wide range of recipients, so that each can focus and take action to improve quality;
Develop a 12–month rolling organisational plan detailing the journey to a CQC outstanding rating.
The ideal candidate will have:

Must have experience working within the NHS/ a healthcare setting at managerial level;
A master's degree or significant proven experience;
Expert knowledge/understanding of health–related assurance and compliance activity;
Evidence of training in statistical analysis compliance or audit;
Possessing an understanding of the background to and aims of patient safety and improvement methodologies, is desirable;
Detailed knowledge of CQC regulatory framework, KLOEs, evidence requirements and inspection methodology;
Experience of leading preparation for a CQC inspection for a trust or a clinical division;
Demonstrable ability to communicate at all levels and across organisational boundaries.
