Employment Matters is recruiting on behalf of The Society of Sacred Heart
The Society of the Sacred Heart is an international Roman Catholic women’s Religious order. The England/Wales province is based in Hammersmith, London. Due to the retirement of the Finance and General manager, the Provincial and Trustees have decided to restructure their finance and support functions and are now seeking to appoint a highly skilled, self–motivated, confident, Executive Director who can work alongside them in planning for their future and managing their resources.
This role of Executive Director will be responsible for the financial, governance, strategic planning, risk and operational management of the Province. Duties will include working closely with the Provincial and Trustees in strategic planning, managing the financial processes and controls, managing trust insurance and investments, providing line management to the Deputy Executive Director and Care Home Manager. The postholder will also manage relationships with external auditors, legal advisors, insurers and have a good understanding of health, safety and risk within the workplace.
The successful individual requires excellent IT and communication skills, working knowledge of Sage accounting systems, together with experience of charity law and current regulations. A qualified accountant, or several years relevant experience is preferred.
