This is an exciting opportunity to work for a major UK Consultancy who provides leading edge advice to private clients, professional practices, mid to large corporates and nonprofit organisations.
The business has a distinctive range of expertise and extensive links to the legal profession, providing forensic services across numerous disciplines for both corporate and private clients. The team also provides Monitoring Trustee services where they act as Monitoring Trustee on behalf of competition regulators to monitor parties' compliance with structural or behavioural remedies.
As a French speaking Corporate Finance Manager you will be overseeing compliance with commitments and reporting accordingly to the relevant competition authority. Regulatory compliance: Advising on how to deal with the competition authorities and the best approach to operational, organisational and financial matters.
As the Manager, you will be working within the Monitoring Trustee team dealing with a range of aspects including working with new and existing clients.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out and managing more junior staff on the following:
* Analysis of information received on the parties' compliance with merger/antitrust remedies
* Attending meetings together with Head of the team and leading meetings when required
* Report writing
* Liaising with the parties and competition authorities and chasing information
* Managing client engagements including client set up and control of lock up
Some aspects of Account management will be included
Concentrated on:
Networking with competition lawyers and antitrust regulators
Relationship management
Attending marketing events
The suitable candidate will come from either an Economics, Corporate Finance (ACA qualified) or equivalent, Competition Law or Competition Economics background
Analytical thinking, Detail oriented, Written communication, Commercial awareness, Teamwork, Project management:
Relevant experience in merger and/or antitrust remedies (designing, implementing or monitoring)
A mixture of audit, transactions, M&A or corporate finance experience is useful, though not essential
Fluent German is essential
Report writing and presentation skills
Assignment and client management skills
