We are looking for an exceptional and qualified Estates professional to join our highly experienced Estates team on a fixed term contract of 12 months.. 

This role is ideal for someone wanting to be part of a Multi Academy Trust, where the over–arching focus is to deliver the best outcomes and experiences for our children, students, colleagues and their families.

Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Estates Director, and working as part of the Trust Estates team, you will be responsible for managing a team of associate staff across approximately 10 schools initially. You will be ensuring our sites are safe and compliant, well–maintained, secure and that our schools have effective premises and caretaking support. In addition, you will be involved in Estates development project work, and the delivery of Estates training to school leaders.

We comprise 41 schools over 5 regions and 7 LA's with 34 primaries and 7 secondaries. Each region has access to a regional team that support our schools financially, operationally and with all HR/people matters. We are looking for someone to join us within our West and Oxfordshire region, which covers the following areas: West–Surrey, North–east Hampshire and Wokingham.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will have:

an excellent track record in line managing premises teams
a strong knowledge of buildings maintenance, health and safety and compliance
the ability to think both strategically and practically. They will need to be both proactive and responsively reactive
excellent communication skills, and be able to prioritise a rapidly changing workload
good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively (remotely and in person)

You will be nominally based at one of our schools in the region (by agreement) but will be required to travel between school and office sites, and will need to have your own transport. Please note that a proportion of the working week can be carried out remotely. 

 

The Details

Salary: £43,000 (Leadership 1)

Hours: Ideally we are looking for a full time candidate  (36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). However as a flexible employer, we are interested in hearing from any applicants that feel that this could be the opportunity for them.  Please note, some weekend and evening work may be required. 

Annual leave: Based on the full time opportunity, the annual leave entitlement is 24 days per year plus bank holidays
