Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working exclusively with a successful, North Yorkshire based Engineering business to recruit a Software Engineer.
My client is a well–established engineering firm, who deliver turnkey industrial automation solutions across various manufacturing industries.
The Software Engineer will work closely with internal and external customers to deliver a high level of software design output.
The Software Engineer's duties will include:
* Liaise with customers to understand specifications and individual project control system requirements
* Ensure Health & Safety standards are met at all times
* Produce Basis of Design Specifications (BoD) for review
* Produce a Functional Design Specifications
* To design & program PLC / SCADA systems for various industries
* To design electrical distribution and motor control centre systems
* Verify control system designs/documents generated by colleagues
* Carry out control system testing, commissioning, FATs and SATs
* Provide technical assistance
Elevation Recruitment Group would be keen to speak to candidates with the following skills & experience:
* Experienced in software design for automated production machinery
* Knowledge of Rockwell and/or Siemens programming platforms
* Understanding of British and international standards relative to the design and
installation of industrial automation systems
* Track record of evaluating technical requirements and providing viable solutions
* Understanding of Functional Safety Design and Regulations
* Strong PLC/HMI programming skills
