Group Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities

Role

This is an exciting new opportunity within MFT, and they are looking for a talented and ambitious individual to drive and deliver the Trust's estates, facilities and compliance strategies to ensure MFT provides class leading FM services. That's where you come in.

The Estates and Facilities portfolio within MFT is significant in scale, size and complexity. As the Group Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities you'll be responsible for the overall management of a GBP167m E&F revenue budget, comprising GBP115m in PFI contracts employing over 1700 staff and GBP52m for directly provided services employing 760 staff. You'll manage issues such as risk & compliance, commercial opportunities, finance and strategy across the Group on behalf of Estates and Facilities and do so in conjunction with the established team of site directors. Taking the Designated Person responsibility on behalf of the Group, it goes without saying you'll be an expert in Estates and Facilities and work at a very senior level within this field.

What's more, you'll be expected to ensure that Estates and Facilities services are aligned to the clinical, workforce, research and innovation strategies of the Trust and that improvements are coproduced with Trust staff, FM providers and service users alike. Additionally, you'll exhibit a drive, energy, enthusiasm and resilience required to manage two of the largest PFI contracts in the NHS and be at ease building, maintaining and utilising successful relationships with ProjectCo, Sodexo and Engie.

About You

You will have extensive director level experience in a large and complex organisation.

As an innovative individual you'll champion a culture of quality improvement, assessing development and the use of continuous improvement to shape the future vision for MFT. You'll be patient focused, working with our clinical teams in developing environments that offer the very best standards of care that are evidence based, aligned to Trust strategies and clinically.

With a strong track record in financial management, you'll relish presenting budgetary performance and progress towards cost effective care on a regular basis. An established leader, you'll have significant experience in delivering of organisational change and substantial knowledge of the Legal and regulatory frameworks for Estates and Facilities.

Most importantly, you'll carry a vibrant 'can do' attitude and mirror their values perfectly, with the gravitas and flexibility to operate at high pace and overcome the complexity and challenges you'll face within this role readily and effectively.
