Head of Diversity & Inclusion

Reporting of the Role

This role reports to the Chief People Officer

Overview of job

Global's deep commitment to creating an inclusive culture where all Globallers can thrive has led to the newly formed role, Senior Inclusion, Diversity & Wellbeing Manager, an important and exciting addition to the business. This role will focus on creating a truly positive experience for all Globallers, implementing plans to increase diversity and improve inclusion, making sure they feel like they belong, are valued and can do the best work of their career.

In the first few months, you would have:

  • Gained a good understanding of current Diversity & Inclusion activity taking place across the business.
  • Met with department leaders to understand what's working well and what the challenges may be.
  • Met with our external partners to understand how they are currently supporting us and what else they may be able to offer.
  • Built strong, cohesive relationships with our five employee–led networks.
  • Developed a proposal for how we continue to accelerate Diversity & Inclusion agenda over the coming months and in the long term.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Develop and deliver an ambitious and meaningful long–term Inclusion & Diversity strategy with clear priority focus areas and measurable goals.
  • Ensure Global continues to make progress at both Group and functional level, ensuring the necessary strategies and monitoring are in place to drive this change.
  • Work with senior stakeholders to create strong buy–in, increase understanding and tackle Inclusion & Diversity challenges specific to their teams.
  • Ensure a data driven, measurable and targeted approach to Inclusion & Diversity, ensuring we capture and monitor Global's D&I data across all areas sharing insights and updates to drive progress in compliance with data privacy laws.
  • Lead on all regulatory and external reporting requirements related to Inclusion & Diversity e.g. Gender Pay Gap, Ofcom's Diversity Report.
  • Collaborate with other members of the People & Culture team to ensure Inclusion & Diversity is embedded in all areas of the employee experience.
  • Oversee, support and collaborate with Global's employee–led networks and communities.
  • Promote and publicise the Inclusion & Diversity work we do at Global, both internally and externally.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and market best practice in Inclusion & Diversity.
  • Be the subject matter expert to the business on all thing's Inclusion & Diversity.

What you'll need

  • Expertise and experience in driving Inclusion & Diversity strategies is a must.
  • A strong understanding of Inclusion & Diversity best practice, including regulatory requirements.
  • An aptitude for data and insights to drive change.
  • Previous experience partnering with senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams in a fast–paced business.
