If you are an experienced senior IT leader with extensive knowledge of IT delivery practices and great people skills – you belong at Bromford.

Reporting to the CIO, As the Director of IT Delivery, you'll lead on all aspects of IT Delivery, initially focusing on improvements including the adoption of Agile, Product Management and DevOps practices and culture. You will transform traditional IT Delivery practices into those that any modern IT organisation would be proud of, acting as a trusted advisor to the rest of the organisation, and building communities and collaborative teams across Bromford.

In this role, you'll be responsible for defining and implementing the IT Delivery aspects of a new IT Strategic Framework, including the following:

Implementing the Agile method, adopting both Kanban and Scrum where appropriate based on predefined criteria
Implementing an appropriate Waterfall method that can work alongside the Agile method where necessary, again based on predefined criteria
Implementing Product Management, having gained buy–in and agreement from those parts of the organisation required to assign colleagues to cross–functional teams and empower them
Jointly implementing DevOps tooling and practices across ICT, working closely with the Head of ICT Operations to do so
Jointly leading our move to the cloud wherever it makes sense, working closely with the Head of ICT Operations to do so
Implementing a Data Community and Centre of Excellence based approach to data delivery
Implementing an App Community and Centre of Excellence based approach to the delivery of Microsoft Power Apps
Being a face of ICT across the business and demonstrating positivity and excellence in your everyday interactions with stakeholders, driving adoption of our strategy and the practices within it
Working with stakeholders from across the organisation to address any cultural and change impacts of the above new methods
Defining and implementing a target operating model
Delivery of a strategic, cascading Exec and Management Team set of dashboards, working closely with all directorates to ensure it delivers the right top–down insights for the organisationYou'll take responsibility for defining, maintaining and managing the IT Delivery budget, contract and licence management for Product and Project Management tools, including brokering new deals and managing renewals within an overall budget as well as supplier relationship management and negotiation for Product and Project Management tools, working closely with the ICT Procurement Business Partner.

You'll be a member of the senior leadership team, building strong, influential relationships and working with your Director peers across Bromford to implement the Bromford strategy. This is a roaming role and as such can be based from any of our main offices in Wolverhampton (WV10), Tewkesbury (GL20) or Chipping Sodbury (BS37) and will involve extensive travel across our geography, so you must hold a full, clean driving licence.

As Director of IT Delivery, you will bring:

Experience introducing the majority of methods described above, and is able to demonstrate why they were successful
Previous hands on experience in a Delivery role from any IT discipline
Experience being hands on in a Product Managed and Agile environment
Preferably field–service experience including delivery and improvement of mobile technology
Construction / Housing experience is advantageous but only while being able to demonstrate the experience above
Degree in a field of Computing is advantageous
Agile certification is advantageous
Strong leadership experience with a coaching approach to getting the best out of your team
Excellent relationship building and connections with key partners and stakeholders
