The Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) is the largest professional regulator in the UK – regulating almost 725,000 nurses, midwives and, in England, nursing associates.

As our new Executive Director of Resources & Technology, you’ll be joining us at an exciting time. We’re in the second year of our five–year strategy. It’s designed to achieve safe, effective and kind nursing practice, improving everyone’s health and wellbeing. The coronavirus pandemic intensified just as we approved the strategy, and we quickly refocused our priorities in response. Now, the success of the vaccine rollout means we can look forward to delivering on our wider strategic priorities.

As a member of the executive team, you’ll have overall accountability for the delivery of digital change for the NMC that will enable the implementation of modern customer focused solutions in a post–Covid environment.  You will also lead on the development and delivery of high quality Financial Services and strategy that enables our organisation to meet its objectives.  You will provide leadership to Finance, IT, Corporate Planning & Risk, Procurement, Estates and Project Management Office.

This is a high profile and critical role for the organisation with clear deliverables.  The successful candidate will have a Director of Resources background with experience of overseeing an improvement programme in Technology within a comparable sized organisation.  This could have been within the Not–for–Profit, Public or Commercial sectors.  You will be a professionally qualified accountant with an inclusive leadership style which brings the best out of others.

You will truly live our values of kindness, fairness, ambition and collaboration in everything you do. We are delivering an inclusive and transparent process where we are actively seeking a diverse field of candidates to reflect the people we represent.

Allen Lane is supporting our inclusive search and selection process. If you have the skills, values and passion we are looking for, please send through your CV, supporting statement and current remuneration to Adrian Watts from Allen Lane by midnight on Friday 2nd July
