Please see below for some of the responsibilities / work for this role. Solicitors who might have worked in a regulated Financial services industry but who might not have CCA experience should still apply for this role. Someone who has worked in the retail mortgage area who be a great fit as the legal team provides a service to their Loan Services arm of the business. The role involves giving advice on Regulatory matters. The main focus being on mortgage origination and servicing.
Candidates from a private practice or in house background should apply if they have an extensive experience working in the regulated financial services industry.
Job Offer
The salary and benefits for this role are excellent. Candidates do not need to necessarily live in commutable distance from the office as the role can be mainly remote working with the odd need to attend the office if needed for meetings etc.

- UK qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with extensive experience working in the regulated financial services industry.
- Financial regulation experience including CCA (Consumer Credit Act).
- Deep familiarity with general legal principles and procedures of the UK.
- Substantial experience either in-house or at a high quality national or international law firm.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information.
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively, adapting style to suit audience.
- Well organised and able to prioritise and manage competing workload demands.
- Confident and assertive while remaining approachable.
- Adaptable and able to take on variety of tasks.
- Able to drive things forward both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable with high levels of autonomy.
- Experienced in detailed legal analysis and delivery of advice in the context of broader commercial strategy.
- Drive to develop expertise in new areas of law.
