Head of Business Development

*We are open to applications from other parts of the country but would require occasional travel to our Recycling Head Office in Caerphilly

DS Smith are looking for a Head of Business Development to join our Recycling Head Office in Caerphilly. You'll be accountable for developing new business for our UK national depot network Mill network and export model, increasing our market share of fibre intake via new or improved profitable contractual relationships with our customers and suppliers. Whether its developing new national contracts or generating local business, you'll facilitate growth targets and provide governance for our UK Recycling business units to support our strategic development.

About you??

• You'll have a business development background and have a history of a securing and retaining large national contracts (preferably within a paper or recycling business).
• You'll have experience of managing processes around prospecting, pipelines and will be experienced leading negotiations and have an understanding of the paper for recycling supply chain.
• An understanding of Key Fibre Grades, Papermaking and Commercial mechanisms within the Global Fibre Industry would be a major advantage to the role.
• You'll be a proven leader with experience of coaching and developing teams.
