Director of Asset Management / Director of Built Environment (Agile Working)

Salary GBP110,000 plus GBP2,000 Car Allowance & Excellent Benefits

We're currently seeking a Director of Built Environment to provide strategic direction, vision and management of all activities included in the Built Environment directorate. This role has specific responsibility for building safety, strategic asset management and development, whilst also leading on landlord health & safety compliance and reactive maintenance services.

Working as an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team you will provide leadership to the whole of Estuary.

This is a wide–ranging role that offers the ability to shape Estuary's approach to our existing estate, as well as our future growth.

You'll need to feel comfortable being the Association's expert in the following areas:–

Leading the delivery of Estuary's fire and building safety activities, including compliance and acting as the Association's lead on Health and Safety.

*

Strategic asset management

*

Reactive maintenance and estate services

*

Development and growth activities, including stock rationalisation and regeneration.

*

Your work will have a huge impact on our residents so you should be comfortable putting their needs at the heart of everything you do, whilst being able to think strategically and see what can be achieved in the long term.

*

You'll also be at ease representing Estuary and building relationships with external stakeholders, to increase the profile of the organisation.

To be successful in this role you must:

*

Be educated to degree level or equivalent in business and/or management

*

Possess a relevant professional and / or business management qualification

*

Have commitment to continuous personal and professional development

*

Have knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory regulations and best practice

*

Understand the sector, political agenda, and regulatory landscape for social housing providers

*

Demonstrate best practice in asset management

*

Knowledge of sustainability and modern approaches to asset management

*

Experience of acting as part of a leadership team and managing a large staff team
