Description
The Employment Counsel will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and service by combining skill in employment law with sound business acumen and knowledge of business goals and objectives.
- Provide general employment law advice on a broad range of topics, including but not limited to HR policies, disciplinary and grievance processes, performance management, restrictive covenants, restructurings and TUPE transfers, data subject access requests, employment litigation, contingent labour matters, executive recruitment and terminations.
- Advice regarding internal investigations involving employment-related issues.
- Conduct training regarding employment law issues for HR and management.
- Supervise and actively direct outside counsel.
- Draft documents such as employment contracts, settlement agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, bonus plans, contingent labour agreements, HR policies and procedures.
Profile
Suitable candidates will have the following qualifications and experience:
- A Qualified Solicitor in the UK or relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience in Employment and Labour Law
- Experience of supporting / working on international / cross jurisdictional work would be beneficial
