Role: Director of Performance Marketing

Reports to: CMO

Location: With our Performance Marketing team being split across Manchester and Virum (Copenhagen), we are open for this role to be based in either location.

Role intro:

Welcome to AWAZE, home to some of the continent's most trusted travel brands, including Cottages, Hoseasons, Landal GreenParks and Novasol.

We're Europe's largest manager of holiday rental properties, with over 110,000 units under management in over 600 destinations in 25 countries across the continent. And our purpose is simple – to delight owners and guests.

A key hire as part of our international marketing leadership team, we're looking for a Performance Marketing leader to take responsibility for all channels (including Paid Search, Display, Social and Affiliates) across, but not limited to, our Cottages, Hoseasons and Novasol brands. All in all, you'll cover 15 points of sale, so this is no small feat.

What you'll be doing:

Reporting to the CMO, you'll be joining a marketing–focused team, where you'll have the freedom to interrogate our current practices and implement new ideas. As a member our of Senior Management and Marketing Leadership teams, you'll have responsibility for a large budget, as well as a sizeable team across multiple locations, so it's vital that you're a strong people manager who is passionate about growing talent along with building great relationships both internally and externally.

You'll own the strategy on both a medium and long term basis for all things performance; you'll lead the teams that manage the day to day performance and optimisation when it comes to paid search, online display, video and paid social campaigns, but you will also own the local relationships with platforms and partners, such as Google, Facebook and our digital agencies, so you'll need to balance strategic planning with hands on relationship management.

You'll champion a collaborative and forward–thinking environment, building a culture of innovation where you and your team are always on the lookout for the "next big thing" when it comes to media channels which will drive acquisition.

We're looking for someone who believes that their team is their strongest asset; you'll foster trust and will develop both your managers and executives so that they're able to enhance their knowledge and their skillset.

It goes without saying that the proof is in the numbers when it comes to our performance marketing, so you'll report on performance and trends, and highlight opportunities and risks, with a view to mitigating any potential pitfalls and staying ahead of our competitors. We let data drive our decision making, so you'll need to be comfortable breaking down channels and campaigns into what's driving performance as well as building business cases and hypotheses to test and learn into new areas.

* We're looking for someone who can take us to the next level with our performance marketing, it's key that you've got demonstrable experience in a similar role, either client side or agency, where you've got a track record of delivering successful digital acquisition campaign strategies

* You've got experience of working across multiple markets

* You'll have had experience of managing sizeable budgets

* An expert on The Google ecosystem, in particular Google Analytics and related tools

* You have a strong understanding of attribution models and the inter–relationship between digital channels

* You thrive in a fast–paced environment and enjoy meeting and exceeding targets

* You are an inspiring person to work for, who brings out the best in your team

* You're comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and needs across different locations

* You're numbers focused and passionate about data

* You're financially and commercially astute

* You're passionate about travel and if you've worked in the sector before that would be a distinct advantage
