Do you have experience of contributing towards the development of large and complex sensor systems as well as a strong background in mathematics or physics, alongside a strong aptitude for problem solving?
As Principal Systems Engineer, you will already have experience in the development of fusion algorithm models, and you should have an ability to understand complex interdependencies, encompassing various degrees of uncertainty as well as managing requirements and design inputs from multiple stakeholder groups.
Key criteria for the Principal Systems Engineer:
Substantial experience working with track and detection data from RF/EO/IR sensor systems
Strong background in modelling data fusion for RF/EO/IR sensor systems and environments
Knowledge of association and fusion techniques for heterogeneous and/or homogeneous sensor types
Proficient in using mathematical modelling tools such as MATAB & Simulink
Experience of embedded and/or HDL code generation
Ability to cope with a high degree of design complexity and significant levels of uncertainty
Any of the following experience would be desirable: Azure, Git, Cameo Systems Modeler/MagicDraw, SysML, DOORS
Key responsibilities of the Principal Systems Engineer:
Develop algorithms for data fusion and innovation processing methods
Embed fusion algorithms within the system architecture to deliver the required functionality
Perform analysis and modelling of multi–sensor data sets to demonstrate the effectiveness of developed fusion algorithms
Define the systems analysis approach
Assess design compliance against user and system requirements
Creation of technical documentation to support the system design capture/definition
If the Principal Systems Engineer sounds like a great fit for you, send your CV across to Elaine for consideration
