My client is looking to recruit a Head of Procurement to support with a National Procurement Project. This will involve managing a large team. The role is a remote based opportunity for a minimum of 6 months.

My Public Sector and Government client is based in Manchester. Please note, this is a remote working role throughout the contract.
Description
Head of Procurement:
Create service packages with key stakeholders, aligning business and customer objectives into a compelling delivery package.
Plan, schedule, and manage the defined business services, delivering to agreed timescales, budget, acceptance criteria, quality criteria and contractual commitments.
Develop processes and procedures in support of new products and services, or in response to system changes.
Monitor Cost Improvement Plans (CIP), quality and Business Continuity Plans (BCP). Proactively develop and manage customer relationships, ensuring the correct performance/results.
Lead multiple projects, providing support to working parties, advising on best industry practices and hands–on delivery when needed.
Embed a reporting structure to create transparency and visibility across the services areas delivered.
Identify and manage issues and risks in business activities.
Ensure all internal and external audit requirements are fully satisfied.
Lead, manage, and develop the team.
Profile
Head of Procurement:
Ideally you will be MCIPS qualified (or equivalent.)
You will have working examples within a senior level role within procurement, leading procurement services, with in–depth subject matter knowledge of EU procurement regulations and the assessment of risks associated with the provision procurement services.
Proven people management experience and the ability to manage a large team remotely.
Excellent relationship building skills, you will need demonstrable experience in building and developing relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
You will need strong commercial acumen, credibility and integrity in how you work with customers at senior level to develop solutions and deliver services that meet their needs.
Strong experience of working within a highly regulated environment, being a role model for governance throughout the service delivery.
Have proven ability in managing a high–volume workload, with experience in managing multiple priorities and balancing workloads across team members.
A Public Sector background is essential.Job Offer
GBP550 – GBP600 per day (inside IR35.)
Remote working opportunity.
