We are seeking to recruit an experienced Regional Operations Director, to coordinate, monitor and manage various locations within a set geographic region. The role requires an experienced, focused and driven operations professional who understands complete operational control and business development within a multi–sector recruitment company. The role is the link between the Managing Director and the branch network.
The region will be formed from established branches and we envisage additional locations being created in the future both organically and via strategic acquisition.
The ideal candidate will have clear progression within their CV, demonstrating ambition and gained a well–rounded skill set having worn many hats. We are seeking an individual that can align teams, implement initiatives and develop managers in order to achieve the highest level of operational performance.
Key responsibilities
Provide progressive leadership and direction to managers and their teams
Business Development and senior level presentation
Innovative in their approach to recruitment solutions and ready to push boundaries
Possesses the ability to implement and manage change within a recruitment business
Excellent decision making ability
Strong analytical skills to remedy and resolve day to day client challenges
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to align teams and maximise productivity
Duties will include;
To provide robust leadership and direction to ensure the smooth and seamless operation of your region
To identify, develop and manage new business opportunities within your region
To communicate, develop and foster a positive and progressive culture within your region
To work closely with the Managing Director to identify opportunities to improve the performance of the region
To chair meetings with your teams / region to give clear strategic direction
To report performance at regional board meetings
To visit the sites regularly and work closely with your line managers to identify opportunities to improve performance of your region
Recruit and assist in the recruitment of staff, establishing work schedules and KPI's
To own agreed set financial budgets, managing P&L performance and ensuring the region operates within agreed cost parameters
To work closely with the wider group to explore synergies and apply best practice adaptations
To identify talent within your network and support their development within the region
To deal with line management issues in accordance with company policies and procedures
We envisage the role will require extensive travel and out of hours contact with both your teams and clients in order to ensure the service expectations are met.
