Finance Business Analyst
Based Golborne

The Finance Business Analyst will support the finance function through the provision of business analytics; improve and transform business processes, providing more efficient ways of working, better supported through technology whilst also being is responsible for measuring the performance and ensuring the delivery of services against agreed SLA's with the business units.

The Finance Business Analyst will:
• Design improved business processes; create more efficient ways of operating by working with not only the SSC process owners but the wider finance team, providing guidance and challenge in the design activity; this will include:
– Gathering requirements, document analysis, requirement workshops, surveys, site visits, business cases, business analysis, scenarios, task and workflow analysis
– Critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into details, abstract up from low–level information to a general understanding and distinguish user requests from the true underlying needs
– Proactively communicating and collaborating with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements
– Maintain all control frameworks pertaining to Finance Shared Services
– Produce monthly reporting packs across Finance Shared Services, whilst updating and reporting on KPI's
– Point of contact for updating of any testing scripts for Finance SSC relating to any D365 upgrades, improvements etc
• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Point of contact for any changes to Power BI Reporting for new or existing reports

The role holder will support all Murphy Business Units (which may contain Joint Ventures) and Functional Areas in the UK

Skills and experience:
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst (BA) in a similar sized organisation
* Experience of presenting financial information to non–finance professionals
* Championed and lead continuous improvement initiatives in Finance
* Microsoft Dynamics 365 or AX experience would be of significant advantage
* Working knowledge of MS Office products, and Power BI
* Some working of knowl3edge of the construction, engineering or project management industries may be beneficial
