Director of Sales

This organisation is a world leader in its field of specialisation and is now looking for a Director of Sales to work with their clients to develop customised programmes for a diverse range of companies, from all sectors – financial services to not–for–profit. Calling on a world–class Faculty that boasts 16 Research Centres, they deliver focused and intensive development programmes with impact for their clients and occupy a differentiated position in this growing international market.

They are seeking to appoint a Director of Sales to develop and implement an effective and enduring strategy for their custom education business. The successful candidate will be responsible for building the scale and diversity of their custom portfolio of programmes, evaluating opportunities by industry sector and geographical location, and identifying new business and potential clients.

You will drive the acquisition of new business, from initial enquiry to sale and delivery of client–focused solutions, both nationally and internationally. Providing the team with professional support and guidance, the Director of Sales will translate strategy for the customised executive education business into objectives for the team and track progress towards achievement, providing direction, feedback, and support.

Leading a small team of Business Development Directors, Account Managers, Bid Managers and a Programme Designer, you will need to demonstrate a track record of success in a similar sales environment such as Executive Education, Professional Services or Consultancy. The Director of Sales will posses highly developed analytic skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and comprehensible way to diverse audiences, they will have an ability and enthusiasm to engage and collaborate with teaching and the research faculty
