Bournemouth University's vision is to be recognised worldwide as a leading university for inspiring learning, advancing knowledge and enriching society through the fusion of education, research and practice.

Our community brings together highly skilled and creative colleagues drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences that help to build our global learning community.

We are seeking an exceptional, innovative and strategic leader, aligned to our values, to lead IT Services to achieve the university's strategic plan, BU2025, and in particular its digital innovation and transformation.

As a member of the University's Leadership Team you will participate fully in the management of BU, influencing and contributing to our strategic planning and competitive positioning. You will provide visible and inspirational leadership for digital innovation and transformation at all levels of BU and lead IT Services to enable an outcome led culture that delivers innovative and user focused solutions. Through leadership, development and provision of high-quality digital enabled services, facilities and infrastructure, you will transform the user experience and enhance organisational efficiency, information management and effective systems of record.

You will possess substantial relevant experience at a senior level and a strong information services/digital background within a complex, medium/large organisation. You will be able to evidence a proven track record in developing, articulating and delivering a clear strategic vision for technology and information. In addition, you will have experience of change management, be an innovative thinker, strong communicator and motivated to succeed.

First stage interviews are scheduled for Week Commencing 5 July 2021 and the final selection process will take place on Monday 19 July 2021.

Our equality monitoring has shown that women and minority ethnic groups are currently under-represented within the university at a senior level. We therefore actively encourage applications from eligible candidates from these groups.

To support and enable our staff to achieve a balance between work and their personal lives, we will also consider proposals for flexible working or job share arrangements.

BU values and is committed to an inclusive working environment. We seek a diverse community through attracting, developing and retaining staff from different backgrounds to contribute to inspirational learning, advancing knowledge and enriching society.
