Automation Systems Engineer

Introduction
Astute are working with a growing independent power producer who operate a portfolio of power stations across the UK. They are currently investing in a number of projects that will provide low carbon emissions from waste fuels. They are currently looking to recruit an Automation Systems Engineer to provide technical support and guidance across the portfolio. This post had a wide level of responsibility that will see you shaping the department, systems and internal offering.
The Job
Reporting to the Principal EC&I Engineer, you will be responsible for???
Maintaining automation systems performance across the portfolio.
Developing control system standards for the businesses Asset Performance Team.
Implementing standards cross the portfolio relation to SIS systems.
Managing the lifecycle planning and asset replacement strategy for SIS systems.
Developing and maintaining good working relationships with technical partners, manufacturers and system integrators.
Maintaining the businesses Cyber Security policy.
Site based work across the UK.
The Candidate.
Candidates will hold the following skills and experience.
A degree level qualification (BEng Hons or equivalent)
Hold Chartered member status with a professional institute, or have the capability of becoming one.
Strong stakeholder management skills,
Experience across a wide range of control systems.
Working knowledge of Functional Safety Systems.
Experience of Cyber Security defense measures.
A flexible attitude to work with travel across a growing portfolio of power stations.
