An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager within the Infrastructure division. Working within nmcn's Infrastructure Business Unit, and forming a part of the Operational team, the Project Manager plays an integral part in delivering schemes to a high standard, on time and budget. Reporting to the Operations Manager/Senior Project Manager, core responsibilities encompass client liaison, lean construction and project performance, taking overall accountability for the operational delivery of their allocated project.
What you'll be doing day to day

High management level meeting attendance as required
Line Management of the site team, including Engineers and Foremen
Allocation of project roles and responsibilities within the Project Management Plan
The implementation (where necessary) and attendance of key project meetings, including:
Tender handover meetings
Pre–start meetings with the client
Pre–contract meetings with supply chain partners
Collaborative Planning sessions
Weekly site meetings to review progress and actions to deliver works
Monthly progress meetings with the client
Fortnightly Risk Reviews
Development and ownership of a construction programme, with assistance from the project Planner, updated throughout construction to reflect contract change and progress
Client liaison throughout construction
Assist with, develop and review the Cost to Complete with the project quantity surveyors
Review sufficiency of resources required to deliver the work
Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance
Coordinate with the design manager to ensure that the design activities are visible and that all activities are aligned to support the programme
Produce RAMS and safe systems of work and review on a monthly basis or as necessary.
Coordinate temporary works
Meet set targets / monitor against PM KPI's What we're looking for in a candidate

An industry applicable qualification
Highways knowledge and experience is essential
Strong team player but also able to work as an individual
Ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlines
Able to work in a busy environment under pressure
Excellent communication skills (email/phone/face to face)
Possess a "can do" attitude and provide to support to other members of the team as required What we can offer you
