Financial Controller

Holden Jones have been exclusively retained to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to join the UK Senior Management team of a global business that has a great record of successful business performance. Your remit will cover the full spectrum of accounting, reporting and commercial activities as the lead finance professional in the UK, overseeing a team of 10 through 3 direct reports.
The principle job responsibilities are:

• Business partnering the UK management team to add value through driving revenues and margins
• Identifying business risks & opportunities and support action plans through the senior leaders
• Ensure the reliability, quality and timing of management reporting to Group Head Office
• Take ownership of the budgeting and forecasting processes
• Cash flow forecasting and management
• Overseeing credit management for both B2B and B2C customers
• Lease accounting under IFRS 15 & 16
• Preparation of Statutory Accounts, including non-financial reporting
• Ensure full local legal and tax compliance
• Oversee audit and group corporate governance compliance
• Provide effective leadership to achieve organizational effectiveness and team performance

The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant (ACMA/ACA/ACCA) with significant experience as a Financial Controller in a multinational environment and strong familiarity of International Accounting Standards. The role does range from some hands on areas of accounting where previous exposure to SAP is highly desirable, but will span through to supporting the commercial operation of the business through contract, tenders and pricing strategies. Reporting to an overseas Head Office under tight deadlines and finding the balance of making a local impact but also being aligned to the global corporate strategy will be important.
