Contract: Permanent, Full–Time

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 09.00 to 17.30

Atalian Servest is currently recruiting for a Business Director to join our passionate and driven team with a UK wide remit on a full time/permanent basis!

Your role will be to deliver exceptional quality services to our clients, whilst working within the senior management team to help drive, shape, and grow our business. Bringing new ideas, energy, and enthusiasm to the wider team, you will need to be inspirational, focused and disciplined, to deliver great service in a commercial environment.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Develop and execute the overall Business Unit Strategy around client mix, profit expectations, and sales mix to generate growth.
Meet client needs and exceed expectations through innovations, without incurring additional costs where possible.
Effectively manage budgets, profitability, and cost within a specified client base.
Creation of innovations and best practices to improve productivity, drive revenue, and investment in colleague and customer satisfaction.
Influence the sales team to bid for business, that can be delivered.
Monitor and ensure all areas of risk management are compliant and managed effectively to meet legal requirements, in line with best practice.
Present and deliver to existing and potential clients, also including presenting to the board.
Recruit, manage, develop, review and motivate Operations Managers and their respective site management teams.
Facilitate and manage succession planning within the Operations Management team.
Involvement in complex Employee Relations issues.
Ensure effective communication channels are developed and maintained.
Manage the P&L to maximize the profitability of all contracts and sites. (revenue discussed and reviewed on a regular basis)
Ensure that cash management and debtor day targets meeting business requirements.
Ensure all contractual obligations are met.
Develop the local/regional strategy in line with group company strategy to drive cross–selling in conjunction with the Sales Teams.
Agree and maintain a minimum client meeting schedule with nominated client contract and formally record their outcome.
Provide the required range of formal reporting to Senior Board members at the specified times.
Ensure that any factors affecting the security of the contact are communicated to the Managing Director immediately as soon as they are known.

About You:

Strong business leadership skills combined with a solid background and experience in the Distribution and Manufacturing industry would be highly desirable
Senior Management experience – leading and inspiring operational teams to deliver outstanding KPIs, financial and people results
A high level of numeracy and a full understanding of financial reporting formats, and detailed profit and loss statements
Excellent communicator – both verbally and written, can effectively communicate throughout the company, with senior clients, contacts, and board members
Enthusiastic, motivating, and inspiring attitude – the ability to inspire, motivate and counsel employees at all levels within the company to optimize their performance
Exceptional attention to detail, with a high accuracy level
Flexible and adaptable to change, can react quickly
Strong understanding of costs and control impact
Able to analyze stats and financial data to produce effective action plans
