We are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst within our Group Procurement function based at our Samworth Brothers Supply Chain site in Leicester.

Job Opportunity
The ideal candidate will provide excellent service to the Group Procurement function through providing clear, accurate and insightful analysis to enable Samworth Brothers to accelerate financial delivery and protect the business from risk. Continuously challenging and improving systems to enable the business to retain it's competitive advantage.
* Analyse and document current processes, workflows and information exchanges to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and/or effectiveness of service
* Create and maintain the library of functional documentation related to key processes and the services they enable
* Support the group procurement team will gathering key financial data to allow the businesses to forecast inflation activity accurately
* Collate and analyse Group information requests (RFIs) in support of the category buyers
* Provide analysis support for tender processes
* Support risk assessments of the Supply Base, obtaining financial reports to assess commercial risk within the supply base
* Maintain track of key market fundamentals as identified by the Heads of Procurement (HoPs)
* Support the HoPs to ensure all sites and all Procurement teams have a standardised approach for all core Procurement processes & ways of working, including category reviews, risk assessments, contract cover, supplier performance management, PIP tracker, NPD tracker and PPV forecasting
The Right Person
You will be someone who is self–motivated and focussed on the customer. You will demonstrate initiative and ownership. You value others and their contribution and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues. You will be flexible and adaptable to change. In addition, you will have the following skills:
* At least 12 months experience working in a Procurement or similar function
* A–Levels or Graduate level (preferred)
* Working towards CIPS qualification preferred but not essential.
* Microsoft Computer literate (either to Internal standard or Advanced level) with specific knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint.
* Familiarity with data reporting systems such as Power BI and SQL preferable
* Knowledge of market intelligence tools such as Mintec and Creditsafe
* Full driving license
