Senior Legal Counsel

A business based in North Yorkshire is currently looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel. Established for over 25 years, the business is now the one of the largest in its sector and is offering significant work from home possibilities.

The Role

As Senior Legal Counsel you will manage day-to-day legal affairs and work across all areas of the business on a range of issues and projects. These might include:

• Key commercial projects.
• Property contracts.
• General advice on regulatory matters.
• Organisational governance and compliance requirements.
• The avoidance and/or management of disputes and litigation.

The role is also responsible for the management of a Paralegal and as such if you have interest in development and training of people, this may be of interest to you.

About You

The incoming In-House Counsel will be a qualified Solicitor who demonstrates:

• At least 4 years' PQE.
• A commercial, corporate or energy background.
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills, as you will operate across the business at all levels.
• The business has a strong positive culture, and you'll need to be a real team player, and of course you'll need to be commercially focussed with the ability to look at both the bigger picture and the minutiae.
